The incumbent performs a wide range of intra-oral dental procedures and provides chairside assistance in the clinic and operating room setting. Employees serve as Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) under the general supervision of the Service Chief, Dental Assistant Supervisor and Lead Dental Assistant and is expected to perform administratively as they pertain to the dental assistant functions without supervision. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
