J OB SUMMARY:
Provides chair side, four-handed dental assistance to Dentist in all aspects of dental care, including hands-on patient care, instrument preparation, ordering and stocking supplies, taking x-rays, charting and documentation, and cleaning and sterilization of dental equipment.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Successful completion of a dental assistant training program required.
1 to 3 years of experience working at a dental practice required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
EFDA (Expanded Functional Dental Assistant) license, including radiation license preferred.
Current CPR certification preferred.
